Formulate research proposal. 2. Submits proposal to review committee and to funding agencies. 3. Implements research. 4. Writes manuscripts for publication to scientific peer reviewed journals. 5. Collaborates to other local and international institutions for research. 6. Monitors the management and care of laboratory animals. 7. Monitors the overall process of animal rabies diagnosis. 8. Chair of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). 9. Attends technical working group related to rabies and laboratory animal science.

Minimum Qualification Standards (per Civil Service Commission Quality Standards Manual);
Education: Masteral degree.
Experience: Four (4) years in position/s involving management and supervision.
Training: Twenty (24) hours of training in management and supervision.
Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) Second Level Eligibility.

Additional Qualifications Preferred: (End-User’s Preference);
Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine; Master of Public Health
Experience: Relevant experience (formulate research proposal, research implementation and manuscript writing. Have experience in conducting research as principal investigator.
Preferably with published articles in scientific peer reviewed journal.
Training: Relevant training (Laboratory animal science, other research related training).
Eligibility: R.A. 1080
