Assists in planning and coordination of activities for the conduct of vector control researches in the laboratory and in the field. 2. Assists in all projects and research activities of the Vector Control section/section head. 3. Conducts ocular inspection of collection sites for the preparation of study site description (for possible ecological implications) and trains local aides in mosquito collection and identification from various trapping techniques. 4. Supervises the collections of larvae and adult mosquito vectors and conducts taxonomic identification of collections. 5. Performs rearing and maintenance of mosquito colonies including mounting and preservation of mosquitoes. 6. Participates in trainings as resource person or trainer for medical entomology training workshops. 7. Attends seminars and other continuing education program. 8. Performs other duties/tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualification Standards (per Civil Service Commission Quality Standards Manual)
Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
Training: 4 hours of relevant training
Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) Second Level Eligibility

Additional Qualifications Preferred: (End-User’s Preference)
Education:
Experience: Preferably with experience in medical entomology/public health, specifically in vector control and mosquito vector-related work. Willing to conduct field research as needed Training: Does not exhibit entomophobia
