Under the general supervision of the Chairman/Directors, is responsible for providing technical assistance, support and advice for hardware, software, and systems, to small but global (multi-site) organization and its staff, in accordance with the organization’s established practices and procedures. Interprets and analyzes problems using automated diagnostic programs and resolving recurrent difficulties
Implements nbsp;Technical Support activities like install, modify, repair, and maintain computer hardware and software, as well as peripherals:
Responds to requests from computer-users using automated diagnostic programs to resolve problems
Orients and trains computer-users on how to properly use new computer hardware and software.
Oversees the daily performance of the organization’s computer systems and evaluates software programs for usefulness.
Performs nbsp;Help-Desk activities to assist computer-users with hardware and software questions not addressed in a product’s instruction manual:
Responds to requests from computer users seeking guidance on technical problems.
Listens carefully to computer users, asks questions to diagnose the nature of the problem, and patiently walks them through the problem-solving steps.
Performs nbsp;Network/Computer Systems Administration activities to design, install and support the organization’s LAN, WAN, network segment, Internet or Intranet system:
Provides daily onsite administrative support for the network and its users [network, server, email, etc.]
Maintains network hardware and software, analyzes problems and monitors the network to ensure availability to system users.
Gathers data to identify user needs and uses this information to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
Plans coordinates and implements network security measures, including patch & configuration management.
Ensures that the design of the organization’s computer site allows all the components, including computers, the network and software, to fit together and work properly.
Monitors and adjusts performance of existing networks and continually surveys the current computer site to determine future network needs.
Troubleshoots problems as reported by users and automated network monitoring systems and tools
Ensures system and database backup procedures are implemented.
Plans coordinates and implements the organization’s information security.
Generates regular reports for the executive team on the status of the network.
Ensures adherence to quality standards.
Enforces IT Security Measures and Change Management Compliance
Enforces IT Security Policies
Ensures all system changes are duly documented through the Change Management System.
Implements Software Licensing Management and Compliance.
In-charge of acquisition and procurement of IT assets
Projects software and hardware requirements in support of company requirements.
Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
Oversees the analysis and evaluation of current or proposed technology-related solutions that address business problems.
Provides input for process standards, and ensures proper processes are in place to guide the consistent documentation and delivery of end user needs.
Researches applicable standards and requirements documents to assure compliance.
Effectively manages vendor relationships which cover obtaining after-sales technical support, and making request for quotations (RFQs).
Performs other functions which may be assigned by management from time to time.

Applicable experience: Related work experience reflecting demonstrated ability.
Linux Windows Servers (2003 and 2008), Windows XP and Vista operating systems
Linux LAMP Configuration
VMware and Citrix XenServer
Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgresSQL setup and administration
Specific areas of expertise:
At least 2 - 3 years of experience in the function and administration of networks.
